Online ArcGIS Server Demonstrations
Realworld and ArcGIS Server make “Geo-information” available for everyone!
The latest ESRI technology allows geographic information to be viewed and even edited through the Internet browser. Using the links below you are able to view two sample applications that will make this clear. Both applications were based on ArcGIS Server.
ArcGIS Server Viewer/Editor
To show you the effectiveness of ArcGIS Server, the ‘Bird Inventory Map’ application will be displayed using the link below. This allows point observations to be entered, changed or deleted via the Internet browser, along with attribute information. Instead of ornithological observations, similar applications can of course also be used for other point observations such as road obstructions, bathing water quality, underground or above-ground measurement data, recorded traffic offences, etc.

Online application: "Rook inventory map"
Together with the Province of Noord-Brabant Realworld developed a ‘Rook Inventory Map’ application based on ArcGIS Server.

Flamingo Viewer for the Dutch provinces
In cooperation with a number of Dutch provinces, Realworld created a link between ArcGIS Server and ‘Flamingo’, the Open Source viewer that is used by the Dutch provinces e.g. for the risk contour maps.

Complete functionality
ArcGIS Server offers the possibility of providing a wide range of functions through the browser. The application can be used both from a desktop or a mobile device. Realworld offers you knowledge and experience, with which you can equip your organisation with all the ArcGIS server functions. Think of applications such as:
-
show me the addresses within this transmitter’s range (point in polygon)
-
draw lines on the map with a red pencil (red-lining)
-
show me all houses within 500 metres of this river (buffering)
-
show me the traffic offences for 2006 in police region XXX in municipality YYY (point in polygon, overlay)
In practice, the edit function (for example) will always be protected by a login, since database information can be amended. A limited number of functions have been included in the demonstration.
